Seawind

Important note!! For the horn section within the group, please use [a656205]. American jazz fusion band formed in Hawaii in 1974 as Ox. Changing their name to avoid entanglements with [a1102573], they became known as Seawind in 1976 when they moved from the islands to Los Angeles, California. The move to the mainland was due, in large part, to [a64652]. He got them a regular gig at the Baked Potato in Studio City, just north of Hollywood. Mason also got them a recording contract with CTI and two albums quickly followed (in '76 & '77). Extensive touring delayed the next two albums (on A&M) until 1979 & 1980. The band broke up in 1982 but came back together for 2009's Reunion album.

Members: Larry Williams, Jerry Hey, Kim Hutchcroft, Pauline Wilson, Ken Wild, Bud Nuanez, and Bob Wilson (3)
