Harmony Sisters

A Finnish vocal group founded in the mid 1930s by sisters Vera (1914-1997), Maire (1916-1995) and Raija Valtonen (1918-1997). The group was very popular in the 1930s in Finland and also in some other European countries. They performed international schlagers, American hits and French chansons. The group toured in Germany in 1942 and 1943 under the name of Geschwister Waltonen. They had a record contract in central Europe with Telefunken and in Sweden with Cupol. From the mid 1940s to mid 1950s they released music mostly for the Swedish market. Their last records were released in 1956.
