Lars Lindgren

Swedish jazz musician, trumpeter, composer, rehearser, band leader and lecturer, born in 1962 in Gothenburg, Sweden. Music studies: Folkhögskolan Ljungskile 1980-81, Ingesund 1981-83, Royal College of Music in Stockholm 1984-86. Freelanced extensively as a jazz and lead trumpeter during his studies and throughout the 80s in Stockholm. The first own band was the group Outfront, then the Lasse Lindgren band, which among other things toured with the American valve trombonist and composer Bob Brookmeyer. Moved to Sandviken, started a family and worked as lead trumpeter and soloist with Sandviken Big band 1989-1997. Then Bohuslän Big Band 1991-1997, The Danish Radio Jazz Orchestra 1997-2000, Jazz Baltic Ensemble 1993-2001.
