National Symphony Orchestra Of Ireland

National Symphony Orchestra of Ireland was the name of the symphony orchestra of Raidió Teilifís Éireann (RTÉ), the national public radio and television broadcaster of the Republic of Ireland, between 1989 and sometime around 2008. The orchestra was founded in 1948 and has since been renamed several times: 1948-1961: Radio Éireann Symphony Orchestra (Irish: [a=Ceolfhoireann Shiansach Radio Éireann]) 1961-1989: [a=RTÉ Symphony Orchestra] (RTESO) 1989-2005: [a=National Symphony Orchestra of Ireland] 2005-present: [a=RTÉ National Symphony Orchestra]
