He has been a member of the German hard rock band Scorpions since 2016 and was previously a member of Motörhead, from 1992 to December 2015. Dee played on 13 of Motörhead's albums. Dee, whose father was Greek, played with King Diamond from 1985 to 1989, and he has also played with Nadir and Dokken. In 2001, he made a guest appearance on drums for Ronnie James Dio when they opened for Alice Cooper at Frölundaborg's ice stadium in Gothenburg. Initially, the nomination included only the band's 1976 lineup, but Dee and guitarist Phil Campbell were also included after their omission sparked controversy.
