Thomas Koppel

Danish composer and musician (b. April 27, 1944 in Örebro, Sweden). In 1965 he got his debut as opera composer with "Historien om en moder". In 1968 he formed the rock group Savage Rose together with his brother [a=Anders Koppel]. At that time married to [a1049724]. He later married [a=Annisette], the lead singer in the group. Died of a heart attack on February 25, 2006 in Puerto Rico. Son of classical pianist and composer [a=Herman D. Koppel]. Father of [a=Billie Koppel] and [a=Naja Rosa] (Koppel)
