Silvan Joray
Swiss jazzguitarist and composer, born 1996 and based in Basel. He has been trained classically for 9 years before he discovered the jazz guitar. He finished his bachelor's degree with honors at the Jazzcampus Basel where he is currently enrolled in the master's program. He studies with Wolfgang Muthspiel and Lionel Loueke and has the privilege of having lessons with other jazz legends such as Larry Grenadier and Mark Turner. Recently he won a special prize at Jarek Smietana International Jazz Guitar Competition 2019 in Krakow, Poland.
