Born February 5 1984, Bari, Italy [b]Marco Misciagna[/b] is an italian violist, violinist, composer, arranger and pedagogue. [b]Misciagna[/b] performed in the most famous concert halls of Europe such as the Berliner Philarmonie, Essen Philarmonie, Hamburg Laieszahalle, Mannheim Rosengarten, Meistersingerhalle Nurimberg, Prinzeregententheatre Munich, Arriaga Theatre in Bilbao, Musikverein in Wien and in the most prestigious halls of America such as the Balboa Theatre in San Diego, the Fox Tucson Theatre, S.Francis Auditorium in Santa Fe, the C.W.Eiseman Center, the Rudder Theatre, the Empire Theatre in Texas, the American Theatre in Hampton, the Lehman Center and Carnegie Hall of New York and many others. In January 2014 the Belgian Government appointed him [“Highest Repute Artist”]. [b]Misciagna[/b] is viola professor at State Conservatory “N.Rota” in Monopoli (Italy) and he is honorary professor of the University of Sousse (Tunisia), the “Estaban Salas” Conservatory of Cuba, the “Pettman Academy of Music” in Auckland (New Zealand), the Yerevan State Conservatory (Armenia), the “Rachmaninov” State Conservatory of Tambov and the Far Eastern State Academy of Art in Vladivostok (Russia), as well as Honorary Citizen of the City of Ayvalik (Turkey). In 2018 [b]Misciagna[/b] received the Gold Medal for the commemoration of the 150th anniversary of the Kiev Opera Theatre and he was awarded the title of [“Distinguished Visitor”] from the City of Santiago de Cuba. [b]Misciagna[/b] won two Gold Medals at Global Music Awards in California and is a member of the European Cultural Parliament.
