Marshall P. Lufsky
American flautist. (b. October 4, 1878 Milwaukee, WI – d. December 11, 1948 Milwaukee, WI) A child prodigy, Lufsky performed in his first concert with the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra at age 12. In 1897, he joined the Chicago Marine Band. From 1900-1910, he was a member of the John Philip Sousa Band, where he was frequently featured on flute or piccolo solos. Lufsky began recording in 1903 for [l=Victor], but around 1906, he switched to [l=Columbia].
