Al Caiola
American guitarist, Composer, arranger, producer and publisher. Born September 7, 1920, Jersey City, New Jersey, USA. Died November 9, 2016, Allendale, New Jersey, USA. His output spanned a variety of music genres including jazz, country, rock, western, and pop. He was both a studio musician and stage performer. He also had his own record label [l586439] and publishing company, [l1373716]. He recorded over fifty albums and worked with some of the biggest stars of the 20th century. He toured on a regular basis with singer [a=Steve Lawrence (2)]. Caiola played on such hits as Paul Anka's "Put Your Head on My Shoulder," Neil Sedaka's "Calendar Girl," Bobby Darin's "Mack the Knife" and "Splish-Splash," Simon & Garfunkel's "Mrs. Robinson," Johnny Mathis' "Chances Are," Del Shannon's "Runaway" and Ben E. King's "Stand by Me."
