Formula 3

Formula 3 is an Italian prog rock band, initially active from 1969 to 1974 and again from 1990. The group was founded in 1969, and was originally made up of [a=Alberto Radius] (guitars and vocals), [a=Tony Cicco] (drums and vocals) and [a=Gabriele Lorenzi] (keyboards). During their early career they played progressive rock music, and as such released four albums 1970-73. During these years they owed much of their success to producer and songwriter [a=Lucio Battisti], and the lyrics of the iconic [a=Mogol]. Formula 3 disbanded in 1974, but was reunited in 1990 with the original lineup, although with a much softer music that perhaps didn't cater to their old audience. In 1992, [a=Gabriele Lorenzi] left the band and was replaced by [a=Andrea Pistilli] (1992-94), then Maurizio Metals and now Ciro Di Bitonto. [a=Alberto Radius] (1942-2023): guitar and vocals [a=Viky Ferrara]: drums and vocals Paul Lerany: guitar and vocals [a=Roberto Capuano]: keyboards

Members: Alberto Radius, Tony Cicco, Andrea Pistilli, and Gabriele Lorenzi
