The Cuff Links

The brainchild of [a=Pat Rizzo], the Cuff Links were a studio group featuring [a=Ron Dante], lead singer of [a=The Archies]. Rizzo had recruited songwriters [a=Paul Vance] and [a=Lee Pockriss], who came up with the catchy, bubblegum singalong "Tracy", which became an international hit in 1969. Dante was the sole multi-voiced singer on the original recording but once the song charted, a group was specially created comprising [a=Pat Rizzo] (saxophone), Rick Dimino (keyboards), Bob Gill (trumpet/flugelhorn/flute), [a=Dave Lavender] (guitar), Andrew "Junior" Denno (bass), Joe Cord (vocals) and Danny Valentine (drums). Dante decided not to tour with the group.

Members: Rupert Holmes, Ron Dante, and Pat Rizzo
