Grigory Novikov

Classical guitarist, born 1979 in Kirov (Russia). He started to learn to play the guitar at age 16 with professor Vera Tataurova in Kirov (Russia). Between 1997 and 2006, he studied at the music colleges in Kirov and Nizhny Novgorod, He continued his studies in Nizhny Novgorod’s Conservatory with classical guitar professor Vladimir Mityakov. Since 2011, he has been the director of the Matyaev International Guitar Festival in Kirov (Russia), the Argamakov International Guitar Festival in Kislovodsk (Russia), the International Guitar Festival in Perm (Russia) and The National Guitar Competition in Nizhny Novgorod (Russia).  In 2013, the Asia Pacific Brands Foundation made Grigory Novikov a brand personality as a world-leading classical guitarist. Since 2010, Grigory has had an official contract with companies Savarez (France) and LLuthier (Malaysia).  In recent years, he has played in many important musical events. These include International Guitar Festivals and Music Halls in Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia, Israel, Holland, Switzerland, Mexico, Indonesia, Austria, Italy, Spain, Greece, Russia, Germany, France, South Korea, Thailand, Croatia, Ukraine and Belarus.  Several composers have dedicated works to him: S. Luckman (Indonesia), A. Belousov (Israel),  T. Shvanserberg (Germany), R. Bauer (Germany), S. Arbiol (France) and Nutavut Ratanakarn (Thailand).
