The Mothercrow

The Mothercrow is a rock band influenced by the '60 -'70 rock, based in Barcelona. The influences that define the sound of the group goes from blues and psychedelia to early 70's heaviest rock: classic bands like Black Sabbath, Led Zeppelin, Dust or Grand Funk Railroad among others, but also actual groups such as Radio Moscow, Kadavar, Blues Pills or Graveyard. The band was born late 2014 when Karen Asensio meets Ram Lorenzo and decide to start a new project that reflects the passion they feel for the music. The line up is completed in April 2015 with Claudia González on bass and Gerard Fernandez on drums. Then they are selected for the Cabal musical project from Taller de Musics of Barcelona which aims to promote different emerging groups in the city. In late 2015 they recorded their first EP on Aclam Records which includes three songs released in February of 2016, they are currently touring with their second double single "On the Road" released at march of 2017 followed with his "On the Road tour" for the country the following months. During the trip the two male members of the band decide to follow other paths and Claudia and Karen continue the dates with Alex Carmona (Cachemira, Prisma Circus), Gus Rodriguez (Lazy Lady) and Alexandre Sanchez (Prisma Circus) to complete the tour Finally in December of 2017 the band is completed again with Pep Carabante (Cuzo, Jupiter TV) on drums and Max Eriksson (Los Apuñálales) on 6 strings, seeking to maintain the spirit of rock and classical blues at the base but advancing towards darker places influenced by a more lysergic psychedelia and the proto-heavy of the 70s.

Members: Claudia González Diaz, and Karen Asensio
