Paul Hewson (born 1952 – died on 9 January 1985 of a drug overdose) was a New Zealand keyboardist and songwriter who started his professional career playing first with bands [a=The Arch (2)], [a=Freedom Express] and [a=Cruise Lane] and then after with [a330303] during 1975–1979, Moved to Perth in May 1981 and joined The Essentials (8) who had short time Dragon vocalist Billy Rogers in the lineup, [a=Dave McArtney & The Pink Flamingos] during 1979–8/1982 and again with reformed Dragon during 8/1982 – late 1984.
