Raymond Pettibon

Raymond Pettibon is a reknowned artist. He first gained notoriety when his artwork appeared on flyers and album covers for [a=Black Flag], a band led by his older brother, [a=Greg Ginn], as well as several other artists on his brother's record label, [l=SST Records] in the late 1970s through the mid 1980s. Since acrimoniously splitting from the SST world in the mid 1980s over the treatment of his original drawings, Raymond continued to make a name for himself in the world of art and he also occasionally dabbled in music. He still occasionally does album artwork, and his art has appeared on releases by [a=Sonic Youth], [a=Mike Watt], the [a=Foo Fighters], and [a=OFF!], amongst others. His professional name derives from the nickname his father gave him, "Petit Bon".
