東京放送管弦楽団
Studio orchestra of the Tokyo studios of NHK, Japan's national broadcaster. Formed in July 1931 by [a=Hidemaro Konoe] and [a=Keizo Horiuchi], originally under the name コロナ室内管弦楽団. The orchestra was disbanded as a permanent orchestra in 1988, though the name is still used for ad hoc ensembles assembled for particular events. The name translates to Tokyo Broadcast Orchestra.
