Joy Lynn White

Joy Lynn White (born July 24, 1961) is an American country music singer and and Americana (alt-country) songwriter. Joy was born in Arkansas and raised in Mishawaka, Indiana. She rose to prominence on the 90s country music scene in 1992 when she signed with the Nashville division of Columbia Records. Later that same year, her debut album "Between Midnight & Hindsight" was released. White's followup album, Wild Love, came in 1994 and produced two music videos. One video was for title track and single "Wild Love" — written by Dennis Linde. The song reached only 73 on the U.S. Hot Country chart. The second video produced was for a song called "Bad Loser," written by fellow country singer Pam Tillis. "Bad Loser" failed to chart. In the spring of 1997, White released "The Lucky Few" under the Little Dog/Mercury label. Since then she has released two additional projects, one on an indie label and the other being self-released.
