Fufluns

Formed in May 2009 and boasting members of notable Italian progressive groups, Fufluns is a new symphonic project formed by [a1904895] singer [a2473884], keyboardist [a1080033] ([a1080033], [a1619436]) and bassist [a1080011] (ex-Taproban, now with [a1437752] and [a4048045]), as well as drummer [a1722718] ([m772460], [a1619434], [a7089822]). Taking their name from the God of plant life, happiness, wine, health and growth in all things in Etruscan mythology, the purpose of the group was to craft a progressive album with a strong Italian song-writing style. Whilst slowly working on their own original material, the group contributed to Colossus Project's 'Decameron - Ten Days in 100 Novellas - part 1' in December 2011, and when Di Tollo departed, guitarist [a1080062] and drummer [a5508825] (both also of Prowlers) entered the group in April 2015. By June of that year, the band was in the studio recording, and their first album saw a release on March 2nd, 2016. An hour-long concept piece entitled `Spaventapasseri' (`Scarecrow'), Fuflun's debut is a fairy-tale-like story with colourful characters, full of charismatic vocal-driven pieces and a dreamy instrumental backing. Elements of folk, classical, theatrical, psychedelic and symphonic all join together on this lush ballad-heavy album.
