Kathryn Sleeper
Kathryn Sleeper -- American Bassoonist Born in Indiana (USA) in 1960. Began early studies on piano, but at age 12 after hearing Stravinsky's "Rite of Spring" she began studying bassoon. In 1982 she earned her Bachelors of Music (summa cum laude) from Southern Methodist University. Her Masters of Music is from the University of Miami. She has served as Principal bassoonist in several orchestras and has premiered numerous works for her instrument.
