Cattletruck

Australian rock band: mid-1980s to 1988. Melbourne outfit Cattletruck started life as [i]Caught in a Cattletruck[/i], a small-time St. Kilda bar band playing in an acoustic country-blues idiom. Paul Janovskis and Tony Dennis formed the band out of a mutual love of the roots music of [a135946], [a160905] and early [a27518]. Paul Janovskis and Tony Dennis decided to take on a more electric sound. Phil Viggiano (keyboards) and Peter Knight (trumpet) joined in early 1985. With the departure of Todd, who joined [a573212], the band recruited Nick Cross on sax.
