Claude Helffer

Born June 18, 1922, in Paris, Claude Helffer was a pianist known for his interpretation of modern music and composition. He died on October 27, 2004. Studied until the 2nd World War under [a868372] (1899-1972). Fought in the French Resistance during the war, for which he was also decorated. He studied music theory and composition with [a355662] (1913-1972). He debuted in 1948 in Paris and performed regularly at the Domaine Musical, (a concert society founded by [a92243] ), where from 1954 to 1972 concerts of contemporary music were organized.
