Roine Stolt

Swedish guitarist, songwriter and singer, born September 5, 1956 in Uppsala. He is the front man in the Swedish progressive rock bands [a=The Flower Kings] and [a=Kaipa Da Capo]. Stolt's career began in 1974 when he became a member of the Swedish symphony rock band [a=Kaipa] at the age of seventeen. He appeared as a guitarist and songwriter on three albums before leaving the group in May 1979 to instead pursue a solo career. However, it was not until 1994 that he with his solo project [i]The Flower King [/i] achieved such great success that it was possible to form a real band again and play live regularly. This was the start of the band [a=The Flower Kings]. In 1999, together with [a309345], [a273937] and [a421414], he formed the supergroup [a=Transatlantic]. In 2008, Stolt started the [a=Agents of Mercy] project with, among others, the singer [a1467018]. Roine Stolt is today one of the most well-known musicians in progressive rock. During the 2000s, he has appeared on three albums with a revived [a=Kaipa] and two albums with [a=The Tangent]. During the 2010s, he has toured with [a125989] and done a duo project with [a5083].
