Olof Höjer

Swedish classical pianist and accompanist, born September 15, 1937 in Karlstad, died 9 January 2024. Höjer studied piano at Richard Andersson's music school in Stockholm, and later for [a=Gottfrid Boon], as well as theory and composition for [a=Gunnar Bucht] and musicology at Uppsala University. He made recordings of, a. o., [a=Maurice Karkoff] and [a=Sven-Erik Bäck], as well as the complete piano music of [a=Erik Satie] and [a=Wilhelm Peterson-Berger]. He also published an essay about the composer [a=Viking Dahl]'s life and work.
