Francisco Fiorentino Y Su Orquesta Típica

Nueva Guardía Tango orchestra founded by [a=Francisco Fiorentino] and pianist [a=Orlando Goñi], and other ex-members of [a=Aníbal Troilo Y Su Orquesta Típica]. Within a few weeks Goñi would quit due to alcoholism and arrangement roles were taken over by [a=Astor Piazzolla]. The orchestra formally debuted in September 2, 1944. The distinguishing element of this Orchestra, by hand of Piazzolla, was the introduction of the 3-3-2 rhythmic notation instead of the 2/4 typical of Nueva Guardía Tango. Active September 1944 - May 1946. Altogether it released 12 two-sided 78RPM records.
