Sun Dragon

After the late 1967 demise of Sands, rhythm guitarist Rob Freeman and bassist Ian McLintock reinvented themselves as psych-pop duo Sun Dragon, who immediately scored a very minor UK hit in 1968 with their cover of The Lemon Pipers US hit "Green Tambourine". Always in the same year an album followed, with the embryonic Deep Purple (keyboardist Jon Lord, guitarist Ritchie Blackmore and drummer Ian Paice) supplying the musical muscle on a handful of tracks.

Members: Bob Freeman, and Ian McLintock
