Владимир Раннев

Vladimir Rannev (b. 1970) is a Russian composer, professor at Saint Petersburg Conservatory and SPbSU Faculty of Liberal Arts and Sciences, Kommersant newspaper columnist. He was born in Moscow, graduated from the St Petersburg Conservatory after studying composition with [a=Boris Tishchenko] in 2003, and received his PhD degree in music theory in 2005. Rannev also studied electronic music with [a=Hans Ulrich Humpert] at [l=Musikhochschule Köln] in 2003–05. In 2007, Vladimir Rannev was a composer-in-residence at the [l=Durham University].
