Grant Maloy Smith

Grant Maloy Smith is an American Roots Singer/Songwriter with a country bent. His songs tell heartfelt stories about real people, and are unfailingly optimistic and forward looking. His most recent album "Dust Bowl - American Stories" is earning rave reviews, including one from NO DEPRESSION, the bible of American Roots music: "A heartland masterpiece .... lyrics and music as potent as Woody Guthrie ... Grant Maloy Smith at his cleverest..." ~John Apice, No Depression Magazine In 2018 he released "Man Of Steel" which was adopted as the official theme song of the National Veterans Foundation. He also appeared as a character much like himself in the feature film "Oildale." He also released a hit single Christmas song with Country sensation EmiSunshine called "Fly Possum Fly", which has been turned into an award-winning Children's Book. In 2019 he released several singles, including "I See You" - a song dedicated to our older citizens. This song is now the official theme song of Masterpiece Living, an organization dedicated to our seniors. Also in the same year, his song "I Reckon" was recorded by country star Jeff Clayborn, who turned it into a hit that charted on the MusicRow CountryBreakout charts. In 2020, Grant released an EP called "Our Country, Vol. I" featuring four of his latest songs in the Country genre. He also released a 3-D binaural version of his fan-favorite track "Old Black Roller". This song is now featured on Amazon Music's HD/Immersive Audio channel. He also released "Waiting For the Good Old Days Again" in June of 2020, a song about the pandemic that we're all living through.
