Dave Hamilton

American guitar and vibraphone player, born in Georgia 1925, raised in Detroit, died in 1994. Perhaps most famous for his work as a session musician at [l=Motown] during the 1960's, until Berry Gordy "phased" him out. In January 1963 he had an album released titled [i]Blue Vibrations[/i] (WSJ 206) on the Motown jazz subsidiary, Workshop Jazz. Dave owned [l116176], [l42916] and [l533775] labels. Father of singer [a2660803].
