Swedish accordion player, bassist and contrabass player, possibly the same as [a1774086], born on 27 July 1939 in Björkvattnet in Jämtland. Five years of studies in double bass at the Academy of Music, cello pedagogy degree at Borgarskolan. Played both classical and jazz in countless orchestras. He started with accordion in Björkvattnet. When he was nine, he took an accordion course by correspondence from Andrew Walter. At 13 he moved to an aunt in Kungsör and started working at a factory. The following year he got a job in Eskilstuna and at 15 he was a postman in the city. At the youth center, he teamed up with some peers and thus his first orchestra was formed, Lasse Andersson's quartet. His instrument was still the accordion, and he became accordion master in 1956. he took on double bass only after doing military service, when he took lessons for Professor Knut Gullbrandsson and then attended Musikhögskolan with Professor Torvald Fredin as teacher. Was featured in a TV series in the 70's where he appeared with with Stig Emanuelsson, Bert-Åke Varg, Sone Banger. He played with accordionists like Art van Damme, Calle Jularbo, Conny Sahm, Erik Frank and Sone Banger. He played with classical ensembles in the Filharmonikerna and the Hovkapellet, but mostly jazz, not least in his own Lasse Andersson's quartet. He toured with Evert Taube, Frukostklubben, theater orchestras at Dramaten, Stadsteatern. At the Oscars theater in Stockholm, he did over 300 performances of "La cage aux folles". And he taught at Framnäs and KMI. He met his wife-to-be Gunilla at Ramundberget in 1961. They got married in 1964, and their son Benny was born later the same year. They lived in the inner city of Stockholm to suburbs Bredäng, Älvsjö and Ekerö. They also had a farm with forest in the Jämtland home village. In his apartment he has three accordions, a piano and a number of basses. He bought a piccola base from Ron Carter, who borrowed his double bass when he was to play at Skeppsholmen's jazz festival. At 66 years old he skied his first Vasaloppet. Currently lives in Tranebergs strand, Bromma. Family: Wife Gunilla, son Benny and four grandchildren. Longest contract: 16 summers with Bosse Larsson in "Allsång på Skansen". His most memorable gigs were with Art van Damme, Clark Terry, Nelson Riddle and Warren Vaché. Also appeared together with John Kongshaug, Giovanni Jaconelli, Håkan Elmquist, Bernt Dahlbäck, Thore Skogman, Yngve Sandström, Weine Renliden, Eva Bysing, Bertil Frylmark, Sten Carlberg, Lennart Wärmell, Lill-Arne Söderberg, Ebbe Jularbo, Nils Lundin, Bengt Högberg and Dick Gyllander.
