Jaskin

Growing in vibrant city of Vilnius, capital of Lithuania, Jaskin was interested in music from early childhood. Electronica, jazz and rock music was always filling his home and made a huge impact on later life. Teenage years were marked by picking up a guitar and a small punk rock band Jaskin created with school mates. He soon realised, that syncopated and energetic beats was something, that caught his ear more than anything else. Bands like Depeche Mode, Slipknot or Rammstein were gradually painting the background of things to come. Once he discovered Prodigy, electronic music sucked him in inside its vibes instantly and never let go. First drum'n'bass event with Technical Itch made a big influence and music was never the same again. First favourite tunes "Technical Itch – The Rukus" and "Jonny L – Piper". In 2006 Jaskin started collecting Drum&Bass and Jungle records and learn how to spin them. In early 2007 played his debut neurofunk/technoid set under DJ diGreez moniker. One thing led to another, and he soon became involved with the prominent Lithuanian crew "Coherence Promo" which hosted events with headliners such as Noisia, Black Sun Empire, Kano or Allied to name a few. Over time Jaskin's taste evolved, but remained true to heavy broken beats and deep basslines as his preference shifted towards drumfunk and more syncopated Drum&Bass/Jungle music. In 2011 Jaskin moved to UK, the birthplace of his much loved music genre. After two years of settling in, Jaskin started his own radio show/promo project "86Beatz" (which is now a part of one of the biggest online drum'n'bass radio stations – Jungletrain.net). 2014 marked a new step in his musical development, as he is now producing his own beats and hosting the "Squares" and “Shattered” night in London, which is aimed at bringing biggest talents and best drum'n'bass music out there into the city's vast nightlife.
