Niklas Roswall

Swedish folk musician and nyckelharpist, born October 23, 1972 in Glostorp parish, Malmöhus län. He became national fiddler in 1992 and world champion on chromatic clef harp in 1996. He plays clef harp of all models but preferably chromatic nyckelharpa, altnyckelharpa and moraharpa. Roswall was a member of and one of the founders of the folk music group Ranarim. He also participates in the Nyckelharporkestern, Carr & Roswall (with Ian Carr), Kverrestad-Mörsil (with Jens Comén), Marin & Roswall (with Mia Marin), Crows' Bones, in various contexts with Ulrika Bodén and in the Ralsgård & Tullberg Quartet. Under the group name Sheida, he competed in Melodifestivalen 2007 together with Ulrika Bodén, Rostam Mirlashari and Abdulrahman. The entry In my dreams – Mani armani taha was performed in Baluchi, Persian and Swedish.
