Cuarteto Armonico

Mexican quartet. In the glorious time of the trio with requinto, which began at the end of the 40s with "Los Panchos", had its central time in the 50s and still extended to the 60s, it also formed quartets of voices. Two of them excelled in Mexico, the "Cuarteto Armónico" and the "Cuarteto Los Soles". The "Cuarteto Armónico" was formed by brothers Julio and Raúl Salazar, Carlos López and Andrés Gutiérrez; all of them from Yucatán. The "Cuarteto Armónico" played guitars and requinto, but also sang with orchestra and musical ensembles. In some songs female voices were incorporated. Its repertoire leaned toward international songs.
