Kevin Toney

American pianist, and composer; though he also plays the cello, and alto saxophone. Born: April 23, 1953, in Detroit, Michigan, U.S.A; died March 18, 2024. He was married to [a3789426]. He had been involved with music since the age of 5, and professionally since the early 1970s. He attend Howard University in Washington, D.C. and graduated with a B.A. in Composition and Jazz Studies, and it was during his time here that he became the leader of the The Blackbyrds. He has worked largely as a solo artist since their demise in 1982.
