Radio-Sinfonie-Orchester Frankfurt

The Frankfurt Radio Symphony Orchestra is affiliated to the Hesse Broadcasting Company ([l=Hessischer Rundfunk]) and carried the name "Radio-Sinfonie-Orchester Frankfurt" from 11 July 1971 until 2005, when it was renamed to [a3578838]. Before 1971 it was called [a617406]. It was founded in 1929 as "Frankfurter Rundfunk-Symphonie-Orchester" with [a=Hans Rosbaud] as its first principal conductor.
