Izzy Gordon

The artist circulates through all jazz and blues events and festivals in Brazil. Already is performed on the best stages in the country and numerous popular events. In 2016 she showed all her elegance in the program “Superstar”, from Rede Globo. Her first album, “Aos Mestres com Carinho” from 2005, is also a tribute to her aunt, singer and songwriter Dolores Duran. With the album “O What I Have To Say ”, she expresses her taste for rhythms, melodies and timbres. In 2011 she launches “Negro Azul da Noite”, a project based on the work of some of our greatest and most expressive black composers.“Pra vida whole” is Izzy’s most recent work, released in 2018. Izzy confirmed her talent as a singer in the musical “Emoções Baratas” (José Poss Neto). In 1993 she recorded on the album “23”, by Jorge Ben Jor, with whom she left on tour. And making her eclectic potential clear, she sang backing vocals for the Deep Purple. Throughout her solo career she performed with Emicida, Margareth Menezes, Elba Ramalho, Paula Lima, Banda Black Rio, Max de Castro, Gerson King Combo, Zizi Possi, Fernanda Porto, Ed Motta, Rashid, Rael, among many others others. Recognizing the moment that humanity is going through and not being oblivious to it all, Izzy is about to release The Day After the End of the World, an album of new songs and partnerships bathed in affection. With Elisa Lucinda, Sergio Vaz, Neide Almeida among others, this musical manifesto will bring chapters (songs) tracing stories of liberation, emancipation and choice that turns simplicity into security paths. With musical production by Renato and Ronaldo Gama the album is featuring Leo Carvalho on drums, Ronaldo Gama on bass, Leandro Neri on keyboards, Marcio Guedes on guitars.
