Los Tecolines

Jorge Flores founded, around 1952, together with his brother [a2818779] (requinto), with [a11350280] (first voice) and with Luis Cruz, the Trio Los Tecolines. The brothers Sergio and Jorge Flores, before founding Los Tecolines, formed the Los Zenzontles trio. In a presentation they had in Durango, they heard Antonio Velázquez sing at the same event and invited him to form a trio as a first voice. Antonio accepted the invitation and went to Mexico to form the Los Tecolines trio, a trio that made a large number of recordings and achieved enormous popularity. Other members of Los Tecolines were: Enrique Cáceres (founder of Las Sombras and then first voice for several years of Los Panchos); Manuel Gudiño, Juan Valdés, Jesús García, Jorge Alarcón, Pepe de la Cruz, Gilberto Luna, Lázaro Galindo, Antonio López, now of Azul Bohemia ...
