Κορίνα Λεγάκη

Korina Legaki was born in the city of Herakleion on the island of Crete, with a greek-swedish origin. She studied classical and jazz singing, piano and orthophony and participated in Spiros Sakkas’ “Vocal Art Workshop.” During the years 2010-2013 she collaborated with the composer, Dimitris Maramis, while simultaneously she recorded and performed with many musicians of her generation, mostly with the band, “Armos,” the free jazz ensemble, “Outward Bound” and with guitarist, Panagiotis Margaris. She was featured in the CD, “Winds and Tides”, by Armos and has released three personal CD’s: “Dancing with the Rain”, “Tango for Three” and "Kymatographos". She has performed on various musical stages and festivals all over Greece, some of them being the Thessaloniki Concert Hall, the Ancient Stadium of Epidaurus, Michael Cacoyannis Foundation, Benaki Museum, the Renaissance Festival of Rethymnon, the Sani Festival in Chalkidiki, the Minoan Palace in Malia, the 44rth Demetria in Thessaloniki, the Hydra Museum Historical Archives, the Historical Museum of Crete, the Rehearsal Stage of the Thessaloniki State Symphony Orchestra, the Rethymnon Old Town Festival, and at Ianos in Athens, the Half Note Jazz Club in Athens, Beton 7 Arts, Gazarte and other venues. During the Summer of 2015 she was on tour with George Andreou, Tania Tsanaklidou and Rita Antonopoulou all over Greece and Cyprus. On December 2015 she released her cd with the title "Mosaic" (Mikri Arktos) produced and arranged by George Andreou. Korina also participates in the new book-cd for children "Who destroyed my train?" (Mikri Arktos - December 2015) with music by George Andreou and lyrics by Paraskevas Karasoulos and Giannis Vasilopoulos. On December 2015, Korina started cooperating on stage with the well known composers Nikos Xidakis and George Andreou. At the same time she is participating in "Who destroyed my train?" (children's show).
