Wayne Burdette

American bassist, born in Albuquerque, New Mexico in 1951 and died May 15th, 2007 after a short illness in McClellanville, South Carolina. Burdette moved to Detroit, Michigan as an infant and started playing music there, becoming a founding member of rock band The Ravens in high school. He moved to Atlanta, Georgia in the 1970's, where he performed and recorded with blues and blues rock acts including Luther "Houserocker" Johnson, "Chicago" Bob Nelson & The Heartfixers, Jimmy Thackery & The Drivers, and the Tinsley Ellis Band.
