Kiril Semov (latin characters) was bulgarian singer born in Sofia, September 14, 1932 - passed away in November 1972 of a heart attack, was found dead on basement at racking cabbage. Was married with one child who died at 3 years. Early death of the singer (1972) prevented him from record album to reach cherished peaks in his career. However, it remains a pop singer with a strong personality. Kiril Semov was not a professional musician. Since childhood collecting recordings of some of his time Bulgarian pop singers. As a student go to singing lessons, and later perfected his voice in the choir of the Sofia National Opera and Music Theatre „Stefan Macedonia”. Worked with Orchestra "Sofia" ([a2678843])and other ensembles. Became popular as a singer of the instrumental quintet "Studio 5" ([a2322133]), which often gives concerts in the hall of BIAD. Two consecutive years (1965 and 1966) won awards at the International Festival of Bulgarian Pop Song „Golden Orpheus” („Златният Орфей”). The most significant prize was received in 1969 for the song "I Had a Dream"(„Сън сънувах”) in duet with Margaret Nikolova ([a2166390]) Composition of music Atanas Boyadziev and text Bogomil Gudev - Grand Prix „Golden Orpheus”.
