In 1967, after playing with his teen band Los Buitres, his drummer and friend [a=Héctor "Pomo" Lorenzo] introduced him to [a=Miguel Abuelo] and poet [a=Pipo Lernoud]. Pappo then joined [a=Los Abuelos de la Nada]. Pappo played piano (!) with [a=Manal (2)] during a tour and later joined Beat group [a=Conexión No. 5] for a brief period of time. Credited as Pappo's, he recorded a song ("Nunca lo sabrán") for a 1970 compilation: Pidamos peras a Mandioca (MLP 335). In 1969, [a=Los Gatos] called him to replace [a=Kay Galiffi]: with Pappo on guitar they released two studio albums. He later joined the short-lived groups Engranaje and Pistola. Pushed by producer [a=Jorge Álvarez], he formed his own group in 1970: [a=Pappo's Blues], with [a=David Lebon] (credited as "Davies") on bass and [a=Black Amaya] on drums. In 1971 and 1972 he played on the first two [a=Billy Bond Y La Pesada Del Rock And Roll] LPs. During the 80s and 90s he was the lead guitarist and main vocalist of the Hard Rock / Heavy Metal band Riff, with whom he recorded six studio albums.
