Weichentechnikk

Hard Techno/Schranz Producer from Germany, born in 1984. Stefan W. (aka Weichentechnikk) discovered his love for electronic music at the age of 13 in the form of a hardcore compilation. Shortly afterwards, he developed a desire to create this hard, mechanical sound himself. His first music production software was installed on his home computer and it wasn't long before he was able to coax the first electronic sounds out of his PC. His sound should be different; a kind of borderline experience of fast, driving beats and the dark atmosphere of his beloved hardcore CDs. His productions enjoyed increasing popularity on music portals such as Mp3.de, Uptraxx and MyOwnMusic and so it was only a matter of time before the first labels knocked on Stefan's door and he released his first two EPs "Mad Man' (Annihilated Prod.) and "Rauchy Bitch' (Crowbar Rec.) in mid-2004. The latter of which catapulted him into the Olympus of the newly formed hard techno community and found its place in the playlists of several "hardliners" such as DJ Rush, who cemented the name "Weichentechnikk" around the globe. Hard techno veteran and Crowbar Recordings label boss DJ Amok gained a liking to the newcomer, because just a few months after his first release it was completely sold out. This EP is also one of Stefan's absolute favorites after other great releases on labels such as Crowbar, Brachial, Animasola or DarkForceRecords. As the demand grew over time to experience the typical brute Weichentechnikk sound live, Stefan teamed up with his friend and brother-in-mind Waldhaus. The combination of the Waldhaus and Weichentechnikk chemicals resulted in an explosive mixture that soon brought many a club PA on this side of the globe to its knees. When the two get going, they churn out some heavy beats, sometimes even over 170bpm. It's fuckin' hard but that's the way they wanna see us. Unbeatable on their own, but as a duo it's hell on earth...!!!
