King Britt

American DJ, producer/remixer, and artist. Born: 1968 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA. Originally from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, in 1992 Britt was the DJ for the Grammy winner hip hop-jazz-fusion band [a=Digable Planets] (alongside [a=Ishmael Butler], [a=Doodlebug (2)], and [a=Ladybug Mecca]). Britt's career pointed to different directions as he started to travel the world with [a=Digable Planets] tours, and with his own ones on the international house music scene as a DJ. At the very beginning of his journey as solo DJ, he settled into a partnership with the well-known NYC DJ, producer, and owner of the label [l=Ovum Recordings], [a=Josh Wink], who also contributed for the development of his career. One of their first projects together was [a=E-Culture], behind the classic track "Tribal Confusion" (1990) released by [l=Strictly Rhythm]. Founded [l=The Buddy System Project] in 2014. Runs his own label [l=KingBrittArchives].
