Maikal X is an alias of [a=Michael Parkinson], a Dutch MC from Haarlem, North Holland, the Netherlands of Curaçao and Guyanese descent, performing reggae, dancehall and dub. Known Primarily as MC [a=Shyrock] of Dutch hip-hop outfits [a=Amo Lab], [a=Committee Gunmen] and hip-hop/reggae outfit [a=The Postmen], Maikal X chose the new alias to explore his Caribbean roots, culture and heritage concentrating on roots and dancehall music, slightly swaying from his hip-hop background.
