Johannes Touront
Composer of masses, motets and other liturgical settings, probably active in Bohemia during the second half of the 15th century. His skill is best seen in his four-voice mass setting based on a cantus firmus which appears in various voices. His surname exists in numerous other name variants such as Thourot, Tonrroutt, Thauranth, Tauranth, Thaurant, Taurant, Tauront, Taurath, Torenth due to the long unresolved identity of this person.
