Fred Lane (2)

English musician and composer, living in Sweden since 1970, born on October 8, 1945. He has collaborated with various musicians, and plays many instruments, including guitar, harmonica, oil drums and accordion. In 1974 he made the LP Swedish Songs, where he translated the Nils Ferlin and Dan Andersson to English. On many of his records he collaborated with [a=Kjell Westling]. Lane has been member of the Rajtan Band and the Bella Ciao theatre group, and together with Birger Schlaug toured with the show (D) Elvis Presley, which Schlaug talked about Elvis Presley and Lane played songs that Elvis performed. Since 2002 he has collaborated with Victor Eestinkylä, setting music to Estby's topical verses. In 2005 Lane received the CREA 's (Swedish Composers of Popular Music) scholarship.
