Eric and Leigh were born less than a year apart and grew up on a dairy farm in Ellenburg Depot, a burg near the Canadian Border in NY, in the shadow of the Adirondack Mountains. [Do not blink your eyes when you drive through Ellenburg Depot or you'll miss the place.] They tended cows, braved incredible cold, went to school and listened to classic country music. When they were in their early teens, they began playing guitar and banjo and were prodded into performing together by an overly enthusiastic minister. Their father Kelley J. Gibson 4 Oct 1941-14 Jan 2012 was a fourth-generation dairy farmer who worked the land his ancestors settled on, also known as The Gibson Homestead, until 2000. [see song: "Farm Of Yesterday" from "Ring the Bell" album.]
