Brubeck Institute Jazz Quintet

Established in 2000 to honor distinguished alumni [a37737] and [a1006047]. The purpose was to build on [a37737]'s legacy and lifelong dedication to music, creativity, education, and the advancement of civil rights, social justice, environmental concerns, and international relations. All members of the Brubeck Institute Jazz Quintet (BIJQ) are a part of the Fellowship Program. BIJQ members have won numerous awards and recognition since the projects formation. Platforms such as the Monterey Jazz Festival, Playboy Jazz Festival, Brubeck Festival, Detroit International Jazz Festival have empowered the BIJQ to flourish.
