Skúli Sverrisson

Skúli Sverrisson (born 23 October 1966) is an Icelandic composer and bassist residing in New York City. His solo performances draw attention for the mood he manages to create with his bass. He breaks the conventional bounds and experiments with various sounds, rhythms, non-rhythms and electronic distortions. He has worked with many artists and composers, like: [a347445], [a41904], [a11879], [a10069], [a10293], [a5087], [a=Allan Holdsworth], [a52220] and [a403026]. Sverrisson is also known for his work as an artistic director for [a448904] (Innundir Skinni, Við Og Við), recordings with [a67009] and as a musical director for performance artist [a26050]. Sverrisson also plays dobro, acoustic bass guitar, and charango, in addition to electric bass.
