Bertil Lövgren
Swedish jazz trumpeter and composer, born August 27, 1939. Bertil played in Radiojazzgruppen, George Russel Sextet, Jazz Incorporated, Bernt Rosengren's big band, Rune Carlsson's big band, etc. In 1987, he released his first album under his own name, First Time, which featured Göran Lindberg, Krister Andersson, Leif Wennerström, Nils Sandström and Lars Olofsson among others. First Time was awarded the Orkesterjournalen's Golden Disc award for the year's best Swedish jazz release.
